I marvel at the ease with which we traverse continents and cross oceans today. Trading routes that once took caravans months, over treacherous terrains, are now travelled in a matter of hours; Asia and Europe are merely linked by one night’s sleep. aerial silk roads depicts this experience of transcontinental travel: sitting by the airplane window, as landscapes of Central Asia silently parade by below.
